Non pretentious, quiet, and charming. But don't expect many amenities. One of my favorite campgrounds of the Tour!
Just got back from spending the night with a school group. We arrived after dark, but they took the time to come over and greet us and make sure we settled in. The cabins seem much larger on the inside than they look. They were very comfortable, clean, and warm on a cool night. In the morning breakfast and coffee were ready for us, and packed lunches to go. And then there's the history! What a place. I can't say enough good things. Hoping to be back next fall.
Reserved a site for July 4, 2018. Once we were close, we realized that we are making good progress. Called them and told the truth, that we are making good progress and would therefore continue driving and not checking in for the overnight. We were told there will be no refund (which is their legitimate cancelling policy), unless they get another rental. They said they would call us should this be the case.around 3pm they called. We would not be charged, another party took our spot! For this honest approach I will give them a 5 star review!! Refreshing!!!And, also, many many years ago, when our kids were still travelling with us in our VW camper we visited the ranch. Was a really nice experience. Assume it is still so.....CheersEG from Vancouver BC
What a fantastic place. If you are interested in Canadian history this location is brilliant. The buildings are original and they sit right on the original spot they were built. They sit on the road the stage coach actually rode on before the railroad was built ! We had a go at blacksmithing in the Black smith shop, investigated the barns and rode on the Stage Coach. Well worth the entrance fee, we only popped in when passing and ended up staying hours.
If you are interested in Canadian history this location is the real deal. The buildings are not only original but they sit right on the original spot they were built on and on the road the stage coach actually rode on as all has been preserved in it's original locations. Black Smith shop, barns, Stage Coach and rides. Well worth the entrance fee.
